“We have not yet voted to see who will be the new Barca captain, after the departure of Pique,” Eric Garcia told Jijantes.
“We don’t know if we will vote or if Xavi will choose the new captain,” the defender added.
Gerard Pique was one of Barcelona’s four captains before his retirement in late November. Since then the debate has been an ongoing debate about who replaces the 35-year-old icon.
Names like Ter Stegen, Lewandowski and Garcia have popped up recently but a decision is yet to be made.
There could be more captaincy positions opening up at Barca with Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba expected to leave.
