Erik ten Hag will be ‘moving to Salford’ after taking over as Manchester United’s new permanent manager, according to the Daily Star.
The Dutchman requested the club to find him a place to live before accepting the job, and Salford, located in Greater Manchester, has been selected.
Ten Hag’s new home is said to be ‘just around the corner’ from Pep Guardiola. The Manchester City manager owns a £2 million penthouse in Salford.
Man United are currently considered setting the 52-year-old up in an apartment Man City players Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva live in.
A club source said: “Ten Hag feels it is important to be immersed in the local culture and has plenty of interests away from football.
“He knows Pep very well from their days working together at Bayern Munich and will be close enough to pop round for a cup of sugar if he needs it!”
