Manchester United are preparing to compete with Bayern Munich for £85 million-rated Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen, while Wolves are likely to loan out their record signing to Belgium, according to Thursday’s Euro Paper Talk.
OSIMHEN BID TO BE ANNOUNCED BY MAN UTD
Manchester United and Bayern Munich are expected to make a move for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, who is valued at £85 million, in the coming weeks.
With both Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski’s futures in doubt, both clubs are believed to be on the lookout for a replacement for No.9.
They could also lead to bids for the Nigeria international, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
Despite hoping to keep Osimhen, Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti is reportedly eyeing Chelsea forward Armando Borja.
In 152 career games, the 23-year-old has 66 goals. But it was in Serie A last season that he truly piqued the curiosity of a lot of clubs.
Osimhen scored 18 goals and provided six assists in all competitions as Naples finished third in Serie A.
United is concerned about Ronaldo’s future.
If Ronaldo does leave Old Trafford, United will be desperate for a new center attacker.
The Portuguese legend has not returned to United for pre-season because he wishes to leave the club. His main reason for wanting to leave a year sooner than expected has been their failure to secure Champions League football.
Meanwhile, Lewandowski has stated his desire to leave Bayern, with a move to Barcelona being discussed.
And, with the German champions ruling out signing Ronaldo, a deal for Osimhen is now on the table.
