“I still remember when we signed Pedri, there were people who were not so happy with that deal, investing €5m in a young player.”
Pedri joined Barcelona in 2020 from Las Palmas. The initial payment was €5m.
For less than €20m, signing a player of this calibre is a steal. The Catalans did a fantastic job here.
The midfielder has become a permanent fixture in Barcelona’s starting XI from the off, making 52 appearances in his first season at the club.
