The English manager Frank Lampard is reportedly now “under serious threat” of losing his Chelsea job.
The Blues have lost four of their last six matches in the league, with their struggles continuing with a 3-1 defeat to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Consequently, the pressure is growing on Frank. The head coach was backed heavily in the summer transfer window, but in spite of a promising start to the campaign, things don’t seem to be clicking.
The Blues have not been shy to dismiss managers in the latest years. Even though Frank is held in high regard for his achievements as a player, Chelsea may have a tough decision to make.
According to The Athletic, Frank’s job is now “under serious threat” after the defeat to the Citizens.
The report states there are “tensions” between the boss and some of his players.
Frank is said to have a “group of trusted regular starters”, with the stars outside that group not happy with Lampard’s man management.
There are also concerns about the struggles of summer investments Timo Werner and Kai Havertz. The German pair have been struggling to repay their hefty price tags.
Those are just two factors in Chelsea’s concerns. The most obvious, though, is their downturn in recent results.

They have won just three of their last 10 matches in all competitions. They have now slipped to eighth in the Premier League standings.
The report continues by stating that Chelsea are already looking at possible replacements for Lampard. They know he wouldn’t be too costly to dismiss.
