Manchester United midfielder Fred has dropped a hint that he might be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer, liking a post linking him with Turkish side Galatasaray on Instagram.
The Brazilian has endured two inconsistent seasons in England, flashing glimpses of his impressive talent before eventually losing his place in the starting lineup after lockdown, watching from the sidelines as United cemented a spot in the top four.
With Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek close to sealing a move to Manchester, Fred may see himself slip down the pecking order at United, and according to Turkish outlet Fotomaç, Galatasaray are keen to take advantage of that by offering Fred an escape route.
Galatasaray, who failed with a bid to sign Fred last summer, have offered to take the midfielder on loan with a view to a permanent deal after seeing Fred lose his spot under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The story was recently posted on Instagram by Galatasaray fan account Yellow Red Report, and not only did Fred see the post, but he was actually caught liking the story.

Fred still has three years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, with United also holding the option to extend that by a further year, and he is believed to still be a core part of Solskjaer’s plans, despite his struggle for game time after the break.
Often rotating with Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matić at the base of United’s midfield, Fred enjoyed his most productive season in a United shirt so far, ending the season with two goals and four assists in all competitions.
He is expected to retain that role in Solskjaer’s squad next season, but two players who appear more likely to leave Old Trafford are Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard.
Solskjaer has spoken of his desire to add more quality depth to his squad, and that logic was behind his move for Van de Beek, whose arrival will only force Pereira and Lingard further down the pecking order.
