Frenkie de Jong has decided to stay at Barcelona. According to sources close to the player, the Dutchman’s final decision is to stay, regardless of offers (h/t Diario Sport).
The midfielder has been enjoying a new lease of life since Xavi arrived at the club in November, and is now considered on of the focal points of the team. De Jong is among the players who have played the most minutes under Xavi.
Frenkie’s contract with Barca runs until 2026. However, there multiple reports that he could leave, particularly after the departure of Ronald Koeman.
This season, Frenkie de Jong has played 27 games for the Blaugrana, scoring twice.
