Despite training only twice with his new team, Tomori had a solid performance.
The defender is eager to learn and is in great shape overall, Pioli detailed.
“He did well,” AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli said of Fikayo Tomori after a solid debut game (via Goal.com).
“He came in during a difficult match, and he had arrived only a few days before and trained only twice. I think he showed good things. He can defend well and he is a smart lad and very focused to learn.
“He arrived in great shape, mentally, physically and technically, and wants to learn our football as soon as possible.”
The Cobham graduate started the weekend in a 2-1 win against Bologna – his performance was superb as he did not let anything past him at the heart of the Milan defence.
AC Milan are understood to have a ₤25 release clause in the centre-back’s loan deal – if Tomori continues to impress, we might not see him back at Stamford Bridge again as the Serie A leaders will want to keep him!
