During Frank Kessie unveiling, Joan Laporta was asked about the contract situation of Ousmane Dembele.
“Dembele is no longer a Barça player,” Laporta responded.
“We continue to discuss, and we are open, there is an offer, if he accepts our proposal he will be there, otherwise not because we are not going to distort the salary issue.
“We have to adapt to the salary structure,” Laporta added.
Barca have so far refused to improve their offer for Dembele, with the club insisting on cutting his salary by 40 per cent.
So far, no other club have offered a better contract for Dembele.
