Chelsea sponsors Hyundai have suspended their deal with the club following the sanctions placed by the UK government on owner Roman Abramovich.
“In the current circumstances, we have taken the decision to suspend our marketing and communication activities with the Club until further notice,” the company’s statement reads.
The South Korean car manufacturer, described as Chelsea’s ‘official global automotive partner’ on the club’s website, have been the Blues’ sponsors since 2018.
Hyundai’s logo is placed on the sleeve of Chelsea’s kits. The sponsorship is reportedly worth £50m spread over four years, with the deal expiring later this year.
