Lilian Thuram’s son emerged as a target for the Catalans last month.
The 23-year-old, however, doesn’t plan to leave Borussia-Park anytime soon.
“I am 100% focused on Borussia Monchengladbach and I am very happy to be here,” Marcus Thuram said in an interview with Kicker.
“I’ve never talked to any other club. Borussia Monchengladbach allowed me to go through various stages of my career, I play in the Champions League and I arrived in the national team.
“I grew up here as a player, but also as a person. It was the best choice for my career.”
As per reports in Germany, Barcelona are keeping close tabs on Lilian Thuram’s son. The 23-year-old’s natural position is on the left but he can also cover a centre-forward role.
The France international has scored 18 and 16 goals in 54 appearances for Gladbach since joining the Bundesliga outfit in 2019, including four strikes and seven assists in 15 outings this season so far.
Thuram is now valued at €40m by Transfermarkt with Real Madrid also monitoring his progress at Borussia-Park.
