Messi has been awarded the ‘International Values’ prize for his charity work in 2020.
Leo helped hospitals in Spain and Argentine during the pandemic, as well as poor children in Africa.
“I am used to receiving awards for my victories, for my titles or for my records as a player, that is why this recognition for my values as a person is so special,” Leo Messi has said after receiving the ‘International Values’ award from Diario Sport and Prensa Iberica for his humanitarian work done in 2020.
Through the Leo Messi Foundation, Barcelona’s captain did a lot of charity work in 2020. Diario Sport highlight his help to the hospitals in Barcelona and Buenos Aires during the pandemic, as well as his donations that help fight child poverty and hunger in Africa.
