Some reports in Spain have suggested that Levante players were surprised at a low mood in Barca’s squad after Sunday’s win.
Ronald Koeman insists that there are no behind the scenes problems at Camp Nou despite the Catalans’ poor start to the season.
“I see a good atmosphere in the squad, in training and matches. I don’t see any problems between the players,” Ronald Koeman told the pre-Real Sociedad presser on Tuesday, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
“Yesterday they threw a Christmas party after training. There was a great atmosphere and drink flowing.”
Earlier this week, Barcelona-based outlet SPORT published a report in which they quoted some unnamed source from the Levante squad saying that Barca players “didn’t even speak among themselves” in Sunday’s 1-0 win at Camp Nou.
The outlet also added that there are ‘no warmth or closeness’ in Barca’s dressing room at the moment and ‘the idea of togetherness has reduced’ over the past few years.
