Mbappe Gets Off To Winning Start As France Captain

“Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe? One of the big changes [we will make] is that the sporting decisions will be in the hands of the sporting structure. I love them both. But the economic situation is critical and we will not be able to carry out big operations,” Victor Font said during a chat with his supporters.

Presidential candidates usually promise big signings if their are elected. However, the bad economic situation at the club might see Barcelona go without big-name arrivals for a few years and Font understands that.

As interim president Carles Tusquets has revealed, the club has been severely affected by the pandemic. In order to stay afloat, Barca want to reduce the salaries of the players and the employees.
