“This was the trophy I have wanted all of my life. This was my dream since childhood.”
On his retirement plans, Messi said:
“I am not retiring from the Argentina national team. I want to continue playing as a champion,” Messi adds.
Messi was the star of the show in Qatar, contributing 11 goals (7 goals, 4 assists). The Barcelona legend clearly dragged Argentina all the way to the World Cup.
