Griezmann has not scored in two consecutive league matches.
Antoine Griezmann missed quite a few chances against Real Betis but the Frenchman got to score in the end. Griezmann celebrated by hugging Leo Messi, who played a major part in the goal, and for Barcelona fans, that was the highlight of the night.

💬 msarti16 on Twitter: “I see Griezmann hugging Messi and that is what Barca need, that these two get along.”
💬 zapapafrita on Twitter: “I love the Griezmann’s hug to Messi. It was a hug of rage, a hug saying ‘thank you’. Because Griezmann needed to score, it was the only thing missing for him in the last games.”
💬 Endgame2648 on Reddit: “The way he jumped on Messi after he scored the goal really shows how happy he was to score that goal. Even though that goal was 80% Messi’s brilliance, Griezmann got his name on the scoresheet and that will increase his confidence. He is a complete team player. He also used to celebrate with a genuine smile when anyone scored especially Dembouz. He breathes Barca. He will find his form back.”
💬 bananaboi69 on Reddit: “He was close to jumping over him. Messi looked like he was about to lift Griez over him. That jump height shows how happy Greiz was. I’m glad he scored and truly wished he got the penalty in as well.”
💬 felix_717 on Reddit: “I could see the joy in his face hugging Messi after the goal.”
What the Blaugrana fans also got from the celebration is that Griezmann loves the club and wants to succeed at Camp Nou, so they didn’t hesitate to show their love and support for the forward.
💬 Michael90_Denmark on Reddit: “You can also tell that he loves the club and wants to perform well here. Griezmann is also a genuine person outside the pitch, he was the first defend Ansu against racist remarks made by a right-wing newspaper. I hope he finds his form.”
💬 roxy031 on Reddit: “It doesn’t matter how much money he makes, what his release clause is worth, how many trophies he’s won. No one is more aware than he is of the situation and how he’s been playing. He’s only human and he obviously cares deeply about winning and playing his best. How can you watch this and not have empathy for him? I really want to see him succeed and I hope his goal today helps boost his confidence. It has to have been hard on him mentally to not be playing his best. I am looking forward to seeing him contribute more like we all know he can do.”
You can tell that the goal was an important one for Antoine’s confidence as footage from the match shows him getting a tad emotional after being subbed off.
After missing several chances, including a penalty, Griezmann certainly felt relieved that got on the scoresheet in the end. Hopefully, the 29-year-old keeps up the good form.
