Klopp’s side were thrashed 4-1 by Man City at home on Sunday.
Keane believes Liverpool could be in for another 30-year wait for the title.
Speaking on Sky Sports after the Anfield clash, Roy Keane said: “For me, they are bad champions. You could say that this is a one-off, it’s a freak season, it’s Corona. Just get on with it. You’re the champions, you’re Liverpool Football Club.
“Keeping performing like that and it will be another 30 years before you win the title. I think Jurgen Klopp said maybe the goalkeeper’s feet were cold? That’s a new one. I know it was tongue-in-cheek a little bit but it’s excuses after excuses.
“It just goes on and on. I just can’t figure this group out… I think they’ve maybe all believed the hype over the last year or two. In my mindset when you win the league the next challenge is always ‘can we do it again?’
“I never got the impression from this group, from their interviews, from their manager last year, they said it’s a long wait, 30 years, let’s enjoy this, but I never heard the players come out and say ‘we want to do this again’.”
While some have rebuked Keane’s arguments, Manchester United fans can all agree on one thing: it’s time to stop the Jurgen Klopp and Sir Alex comparisons.
Ferguson’s biggest strength as manager has always been his ability to sustain success and build on it, something that the German is clearly failing to do.
