“Mateo Messi is going to be better than his father. Noo,” Barcelona fan KratosCule on Twitter has said.
He attached the video of this incredible solo goal by a youngster that got over 110k likes in 24 hours.
The problem is, though, that the boy in the video is not Mateo Messi. To begin with, Leo Messi said in the past that all of his sons were right-footed, so it couldn’t have been Mateo.
According to Argentinian outlet La Opinion Austral as well as multiple accounts on Twitter, the author of the incredible goal is Ezequiel Llach who once played for Real Zaragoza’s academy. The video itself is from 2012.
This seems to have been confirmed by Ezequiel. He, unfortunately, never made the move to professional football.

“For me it is a compliment that they believe that the child is Mateo. At any time I will share the reason why I could not turn professional,” the tweet reads.
