- Koeman says that he’s talked with the squad about their finishing.
- The coach claims that it will take time to change the way the players think as they’re used to passing.
- The Dutchman adds that he happily takes criticism as long as those criticising don’t become obssesed with it.
“We have talked about finishing. We have many players who are always looking for the pass, even inside the box. But then again, you can’t change a player in two months if he’s been doing that for his entire life,” Ronald Koeman has said in the presser ahead of the Real Betis game.
Finishing has been Barca’s biggest problem this season. Against Alaves, for example, Blaugrana registered 25 shots but managed to score only one goal.
“I happily take criticism, but we don’t have to be obsessed,” the coach added. “The season is very long. A lot of things happen at this club and our job is to be prepared for everything.”
So far this season, the Catalans have registered five wins, two draws and two losses. While our run on the Champions League has been perfect, La Liga proved to be more of a challenge. Barca currently sit in 12th place with eight points after six games.
