Real Madrid are yet to sign a potent goal scorer who will help them recover from Cristiano Ronaldo’s void, while Barcelona need to sign a multi-dimensional player as replacement for Lionel Messi, who is not going to last them forever and will hang up his boots within the next few years. Kylian Mbappe is the player who fits the requirement of both clubs.
The France international is incredibly talented and is one of the best players in the world at just 20 years of age. He has three Ligue 1 title to his name and is also a World Cup winner. Mbappe was the first teenage goal scorer in a World Cup final since Pele when a bagged one against Croatia in the 2018 Russia edition.
Paris Saint-Germain and the player are tied until the summer of 2021, but there have been suggestions that the forward could be on the move next summer. Barcelona and Real Madrid have been the two teams that have been largely credited with interest in Mbappe, while there has also been some murmur of Manchester City being in the hunt too.
Fox Sports has reported that Kylian Mbappe now has a contract on the table from the Ligue 1 giants worth 50 million euros as annual salary that will extend his association with the Parc des Princes for the next five years. Mbappe will now stay in France’s capital until June 2021 before deciding if he should walk away to a new team or commit his future to PSG.
Gianluigi Buffon hailed the Frenchman as a future Ballon d’Or winner in a recent interview. The Juventus goalkeeper said:

“Kylian has the world in his hands. If he says to himself: ‘I must win the Ballon d’Or five times in ten years,’ he will do it. Everything depends on him”
Paris Saint-Germain will not let Kylian Mbappe go on the cheap next year if the player decides to leave and will demand a world-record transfer fee for the man who is heavily touted to be the world’s best in a few years. Barca may find themselves lagging in the race due to their relations with PSG and Madrid’s positive connection with the Parisians as well.
Where do you think Kylian Mbappe will ply his trade in the coming years?
