Las Palmas’ ex-director explains how Barca beat other European giants for Pedri

Toni Otero reveals Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid all wanted the talented youngster.
But Barca never stopped their pursuit and eventually succeeded.
“There were several teams interested in Pedri: Manchester City, Liverpool, Madrid, but Barca did not stop, they went for him again and again,” Las Palmas’ former technical secretary Toni Otero revealed to QueThiJugues on SER Catalunya.
Pedri cost Barca €6m in 2019. He joined the Catalans in summer and has been extremely impressive. The 18-year-old has scored twice and provided 1 assist in 19 games in all competitions.
