“We keep talking often, but we talk about life, what is happening today,” Luis Suarez has told Diario AS about his friendship with Leo Messi.
“We have a good relationship and we don’t just talk about football. We try to support each other on personal and emotional issues.”

Suarez joined Barcelona in 2014 and soon became close friends with Leo. The two would often visit each other. The Messi and Suarez families have spent their vacation together on several occasions.
Barca’s captain was saddened by Suarez’s move to Atletico Madrid at the beginning of the season. He even wrote him a farewell message in which he bashed the club for how they parted ways with the Uruguayan.
