Man United now feel that they are close to signing Lisandro Martinez from Ajax, according to various reliable outlets.
The Red Devils are ready to submit a new bid of around £46m and are optimistic that it’ll be accepted, claims the Telegraph.
Fabrizio Romano has also claimed that United’s executives are set to arrive in Amsterdam on Wednesday to finalize the deal, knowing that Ajax are now willing to sell.
United have already agreed personal terms with the defender and want to get it over the line as soon as possible.
Martinez had reportedly pushed for the move to happen and urged the Dutch club to let him fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League.
If everything is done quickly, Lisandro could become United’s second summer signing and join the club’s pre-season tour in Australia.
