Mirror exclusively report that the Red Devils have placed a £12.5m bid for the 16-year-old central midfielder from Birmingham. United are one of two clubs to have made an approach, the name of the other is not revealed.
Bellingham won’t turn 17 until June but he’s already made 23 first team appearances for Birmingham.
According to the same source, the youngster is in no hurry to leave his boyhood club and has declined a few proposals from agents, willing to broker his future.
He currently earns £145-a-week as he’s still yet to sign his first professional contract. This is bound to happen at the end of June when he turns 17.
