Manchester United have allegedly added Bayer Leverkusen centre-forward, Patrik Schick, to their wish list of summer transfer targets.
Caretaker manager Ralf Rangnick has revealed that the Red Devils will try to sign a new number nine this summer, with Edinson Cavani set to depart and Cristiano Ronaldo’s long-term future also uncertain.
Alexander Isak and Erling Braut Haaland are thought to be two of their main targets, while a swoop for Inter Milan’s Argentina international Lautaro Martinez has also been mooted.
Now, the Daily Mail reports that the Czech Republic – who rose to prominence with five goals for his country at Euro 2020 – is also under consideration by the English side’s chiefs.
The 26-year-old star has enjoyed a stellar Bundesliga season with Die Werkself, racking up 18 goals in as many division appearances to sit second in the top scorer charts behind Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski.
Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Arsenal have previously been touted with an interest in Patrik, who recently played down talk of a potential move to the Premier League.
The ex-Roma man has registered a total of 31 goals in 58 matches for his team since arriving in 2020 and is tied down to the BayArena outfit until 2025.
