Manchester United defender Phil Jones could reportedly be set to head out on loan when the transfer window will be re-opened.
The English cenre-back is yet to make an appearance this season for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side as he battles his way back from injury, however, Jones was not included in Norwegian manager’s 25-man Premier League squad anyway.
The 28-year-old still has more than two years left on his current contract at Old Trafford, however, he is believed to head for the exit door after falling out of favour at the club.
According to the Daily Star, Premier League struggling teams Burnley and West Bromwich Albion are among the teams interested in a loan deal for the second half of the current campaign, while Derby County are also keeping a close eye on his progress.
The report suggests that the Red Devils are willing to pay a large chunk of Jones’ £120k-a-week wages, however, Burnley will only make an attempt to secure the services of him and James Tarkowski seeks pastures new.
Jones has managed to found back of the net six times in 224 games for the Red Devils across all competitions – winning one Premier League, one Europe League and FA Cup titles with the Red Devils.
