Manchester United are keen on landing the Ligue 2 outfit Toulouse midfielder Kouadio Kone, according to the latest reports.
The 19-year-old ace has been starting regularly for his side in France’s second division, making 20 appearances and netting two goals across all competitions this season.
His mature displays for Les Violets have alerted a number of teams to his services.
A report in Calciomercato stated that Toulouse are taking advantage of the serious interest shown in their player by other European teams.
They had previously demanded €10 million from AC Milan, who have been keen on Kouadio’s services before interest from Leeds United has seen their demands increase to €15 million.
And now French publication Foot Mercato (via Sport Witness) reports that Kone already has a proposal from Milan but other sides are still in for the talent
The Red Devils and Borussia Moenchengladbach are said to be very interested in the player with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already bringing youngsters Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo to the club in recent times.
Speaking in September, Old Trafford heor Gary Neville suggested that his old club need to be looking at a new central defender above anything else.
Gary said: “We can talk about [Jadon] Sancho all we like but until United get a centre back who can run and defend one-on-ones they are never going to win the league.
“They are never going to win the Premier League with that centre back pairing. They have to get a mobile, dominant centre half in alongside either Lindelof or Maguire.”
