Manchester United reportedly target Dominic Calvert-Lewin as an alternative to the Norway international Erling Haaland.
According to the Athletic, the Red Devils appear to be prepared to turn their attentions to landing Everton ace.
The 23-year-old attacker is enjoying an excellent season at Everton under Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti.
With 14 goals in just 18 games, Dominic has shown the ability to go toe to toe with the best in the division.
The Red Devils were interested in signing Erling Haaland when the forward was at RB Salzburg. However, the Norwegian talent spurned a move to United and joined Borussia Dortmund.
While the English heavyweights’ interest in him hasn’t waned, they might find it difficult to sign him.
A major reason for this is the star’s agent, Mino Raiola. The representative, who also represents Paul Pogba, has a frosty relationship with the Red Dvils.
Dominic, who was a part of the England U20 side that won the FIFA Under-20 World Cup back in 2017, at 23 is primed to develop into an exciting striker, who is also a colossus in the air.

With the newfound prolific nature and his experience of the PL, he would be expected to make an impression if signed.
Amidst Edinson Cavani’s age and Anthony Martial’s inconsistency, United could do with another centre-forward in the coming windows.
While Erling clearly is the better striker, it’d be fair to assume that with Raiola at the helm, there is always the possible for off-field issues to take centre stage.
