Manchester United are allegedly confident of signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho for ‘notably less’ than £107 million during this summer’s transfer market.
The Red Devils were heavily linked with the England international over the summer but weren’t prepared to meet Die Borussen’s asking price for the former Manchester City ace.
Sancho has struggled to show his best form for BVB this season, scoring one goal in 11 Bundesliga appearances, although Jadon has contributed five goals and eight assists in 18 matches in all competitions.
According to 90min, the Red Devils’ are not concerned by the 20-year-old talent’s form this term and are confident of landing him for less than £100 million ahead of the 2021-22 season.
Sancho’s contract at the Signal Iduna Park outfit still has another two and a half years left to run, meaning that his German side will not be under huge pressure to sell in the summer market.
However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recently reported that he expects the Englishman to move back to his homeland in 2021.
Chelsea and Liverpool are also said to be interested in a player who has netted 38 goals and registered 51 assists in 117 outings since arriving at Dortmund three seasons ago.
Elsewhere, Manchester United have allegedly identified Sevilla’s Jules Kounde as a defensive target.
The centre-half was strongly linked with a transfer to Manchester City during the summer transfer market, but the Citizens were unable to agree on a transfer fee with the 22-year-old’s Spanish club.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Red Devils also have an interest in the former France U21s international, who has scored twice in 18 games for Julen Lopetegui’s side during the 2020-21 season.
