Manchester United have reportedly moved in with a mammoth bid to sign Darwin Nunez from Benfica but even that might not be enough.
According to Correio da Manha, the Red Devils have made an offer worth 105 million euros, 75 million euros in cash, 20 million euros in add-ons plus they have proposed to send a player on loan who would be worth 10 million euros.
Even after receiving such an enormous offer, the Portuguese news outlet have mentioned that the Eagles are going to analyze the move and it is not guaranteed that they will accept it.
Why? Because the Primeira Liga giants are expecting to earn even more from the sale of their South American striker.
Back in April, ESPN revealed that Benfica will not even enter talks to sell their prized asset unless they receive a bid worth 130 million euros (£111million).
Nunez is going to be hot property in the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old scored 26 goals to end the season as the top scorer in Portugal.
Moreover, he found the net 6 times in the UEFA Champions League and scored goals against giants like Barcelona, Ajax, Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
Manchester City have already signed Haaland to replace club legend, Sergio Aguero. Man United also need a young, top-quality striker to replace Ronaldo.
In your view, should they break the bank and increase the bid to sign Darwin Nunez?
