The Manchester United transfer target has rejected two offers already as he seems intent on completing a move to Old Trafford.
It goes without saying that despite their poor performances in recent years, Manchester United still have a pull that few clubs will ever enjoy. And it is this desire to play for the Red Devils that helps them get a lot of moves done. That might be the case with Ecuadorian wonderkid Moises Caicedo as well.
The 19-year-old has been linked with United for quite some time now. And although the Premier League giants are believed to be in control, they are yet to reach a definite deal.
As a result, it is not a sure thing that Caicedo will definitely end up completing a switch to Old Trafford. But it does feel like the youngster’s heart is set on it. In fact, he has already rejected two offers from the MLS.
As reported by Tutto Mercato (via Inside Futbol), both Atlanta United and Inter Miami had made offers for Caicedo. But the Ecuadorian international pushed them both back as he seems keen on pushing through a move to the Red Devils.
He has already admitted in the past that Manchester United are his favourite team and as a result, it is not hard to understand why he wants a move to go through. A £5 million transfer fee has been touted for the 19-year-old, which is an amount Solskjaer’s side should not have any problem spending if they really believe that Caicedo is someone who can be a part of the first-team in the future.
It would also be in line with United’s recent transfer policy of signing some of the most highly-rated talents from around the world and putting them into their academy, in hopes of developing them into Premier League quality players. And do not be surprised to see them add the name of Moises Caicedo to that fast growing list soon.
