Catalonia have some of the weirdest Christmas traditions.
“Until I don’t find my own caganer figurine, I’ll take the ‘avi del Barca’. Merry Christmas, cules,” Martin Braithwaite has captioned one of his Instagram stories.
A Caganer is a figurine that depicts a defecating person and it often appears in nativity scenes in Catalonia. Historically, the figurine was of a Catalan peasant, although now it can also depict celebrities.
Braithwaite has actually been in a pretty decent form this term, scoring five goals and providing two assists in 15 matches for Barca. If he keeps up the good rhythm, he might get his own figurine soon
