- Mascherano reveals that he has never asked Messi whether he’d like to become a coach in the future.
- Javier says that no player understands football as well as Barca’s captain.
- The former Blaugrana believes that Leo’s ability to ‘understand and execute what’s needed’ makes him unique.
“Could Leo Messi
become a coach in the future? Who knows? He could be. He’s the player that best understands and reads the game. Without a doubt. That’s why he plays as he does. He has the ability to understand and execute what’s needed. That’s why he’s unique,” Javier Mascherano has told Team Barca.
“I never asked him if he wanted to do it. But on knowledge alone, he should be.”
Presidential candidates Victor Font and Jordi Farre have both said that they want to keep Messi at Barcelona even beyond his retirement. However, they haven’t specified what position the Argentine would hold.
