Terem Moffi will look to close in on Kylian Mbappe in the race for the Ligue 1 Golden Boot when OGC Nice face table-toppers, Paris Saint-Germain at the Allianz Riviera on Saturday.
With nine games to play, Moffi sits sixth in the scoring charts with his four goals at Nice added to the 12 he scored at FC Lorient during the first half of the 2022/23 campaign.
Mbappe and Jonathan David lead the way with 19 goals while the trio of Alexandre Lacazette, Wissam Ben Yedder and another potential Super Eagles hero, Folarin Balogun all have 17.
All eyes will be on Moffi in his next outing when Nice play host to PSG this weekend with the encounter offering the Nigerian the chance to go head to head with his rival, Mbappe.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles striker has issued a stern warning to PSG whom he has a truly outstanding scoring record against, netting three goals in five games versus the Parisians.
“We are looking to bounce back after the match in Angers (1-1), which we consider a defeat. We want to finish as high as possible and qualify for Europe.
“For that, we are aiming for the three points against PSG, it will be complicated but you have to give yourself the means to do it.
“Playing against Paris Saint-Germain is always different because there are great players in all positions. You will have to be on top mentally and physically,” Moffi told Nice Matin via Paris Team.
