To celebrate Black History Month in the UK, Nike has just unveiled a stellar black kit to be worn by the England National Football Team.
The kit was crafted to recognise black British athletes and their achievements in sport, and to amplify that, the sportswear giant called upon three of England’s most influential footballers, Raheem Sterling, Tammy Abraham, and Marcus Rashford, to model the new jersey. The top has been designed as a symbol of solidarity and a shared identity. Beyond the aesthetic this bold visual is all about making a positive statement and inspiring change. Along with the black top featuring glitched-out Swoosh graphics and zig-zag patterns in contrasting white, a mirrored version has also been created in white with black accents.
The whole England squad will rep the black kit during the international camp taking place this week. So far it is unknown if the kit will release to the public, but keep it locked here should they drop.
