Chelsea defeated Sheffield United 2-1 and jumped up the table to the fifth place.
After West Ham and Everton dropped points, the Blues are ahead of them, although the Toffees have 2 games in hand.
Most importantly, though, they are just one point away from the top 4 as Liverpool were comprehensively beaten 4-1 by Man City.
