“Everything is possible and I don’t rule anything out,” Villarreal centre-back Pau Torres told Spanish media outlet AS about the upcoming transfer window amid rumours of Man United’s interest.
“They are very difficult decisions, there is nothing. There is no decision made.
“The only offer I have today is the renewal with Villarreal. I know they love me here and they love me a lot.
“The club loves me and I am very grateful,” he added. “I know that I can stay here for many more years because the affection is mutual. We’ll see what we decide.”
Torres was born in Villarreal and has spent the whole career in his home town – except one season out on loan at Malaga.
Man United are reportedly considering the Spain international as a target this summer, just as they did a year ago – but it does not look like they are in advanced talks.
