Barcelona will face Eintracht Franfurt in Germany on Thursday in the Europa League quarter-final first leg.
While the game is a crunch European tie, it presents an opportunity for Xavi to rest some key players who’ve been playing a lot of matches lately.
One of those players is Pedri. The teenager played a full match for Spain and completed another 90 minutes in the game against Sevilla. It would make sense if Xavi starts him from the bench at Frankfurt, with Gavi starting instead.
Xavi could also give Sergio Busquets a rare opportunity to catch some rest – as Nico Gonzalez or Frenkie de Jong can also play his role.
In the attack, Ferran Torres can be benched to give Adama Traore an opportunity to start. Adama has not started any of Barca’s last 4 games.
Who do you think deserves a rest by Xavi against Frankfurt?
