- Zielinski has been a key midfielder for Napoli for the past few seasons.
- The ex-Barca keeper believes the Pole has enough quality to play for either the Catalans or their bitter rivals one day.
“Is there a player who has surprised me for the better? There is a player who I fell in love with from the first time I saw him – the Napoli midfielder Zielinski,” former Barcelona goalkeeper Pepe Reina told Cadena SER.
“He’s a Real Madrid or Barcelona player. He is out of the ordinary.”
Reina, who now represents Lazio, is familiar with Piotr Zielinski’s talent from their time alongside each other in Naples between 2016 and 2018.
Even though the 26-year-old has missed a vast part of the current campaign through Covid-19, he’s been a key midfielder for Napoli ever since joining the club from Udinese four years ago.
The Poland international, however, is unlikely to end up at either La Liga giant anytime soon as he signed a new four-year contract with the Parthenopeans in August.
