“I’ve had as much money as Espanyol’s budget for a long time,” Gerard Pique has said via Jordi Wild’s podcast.
“I like playing at Espanyol’s pitch more than at Madrid’s. I’m happy that Espanyol are in La Liga because it means I’m going to play there, which I like. It is a total rage. I would argue that it’s better than having sex,” he added.
Pique is massively hated by Espanyol fans. The Barca veteran often trolls Blaugrana’s domestic rivals – and their supporters usually hit back.
In the latest La Liga clash between Espanyol and Barcelona, Pique was particularly active at arguing with players and referees, picking up a red card at the end of the game.
