Despite the big win over Fulham, the Frenchman remains pragmatic and says United are far away from winning the league.
Pogba urges his side to be proud to be top of the PL but wants them to continue working hard to keep their place until the end of the season.
Speaking about Man United reclaiming their place at the top of the Premier League, Paul Pogba said: “It’s never enough. We are still far from the trophy.
“It’s been hard to get here, it’s going to be even harder to stay there. Be arrogant in the way that ‘yes, we are proud to be there and we want to stay there’, but we have done nothing yet so we need to keep working.
“We are happy with what’s happening but we want this to carry on. We want this more and more. If we think ‘we won and we have arrived’, this is when we are going to drop.”
United are currently 2 points above Man City at the top of the table, but the Citizens have a game in hand upon winning which they could claim the top spot. As a result, the players must remain focused on the battle ahead and keep churning out these wins to be in contention to win the championship at the end of the season.
