France international and former Manchester United star Paul Pogba has allegedly tested positive for testosterone, according to reports in Italy.
Pogba is said to have been called for testing following Juventus’ 3-0 win over Udinese on August 20.
He did not feature as he was an unused substitute but was nevertheless selected for a random test.
That test allegedly showed elevated levels of testosterone and according to various reports, a second test sample will now be checked in order to determine a definitive result.
If a positive test is confirmed, Pogba will be tried by the National Anti-Doping Tribunal and could face a two-year ban from the game.
The 30-year-old returned to Juventus on a free transfer in July 2022 following the expiry of his contract with United.
He has struggled upon his return to the Italian side, with injuries significantly restricting his game time.
He has made 91 appearances for France, helping to win the 2018 World Cup, but has not played for the national team since 2022.
He made 233 appearances for United between 2016 and 2022, scoring 39 goals and contributing 51 assists.
