With games coming thick and fast, it’s time for our predicted Man Utd XI vs Liverpool.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side sit six points clear of Liverpool in the Premier League, though this rivalry is renewed in the FA Cup. There have been some absolute classic meetings over the years in English football’s oldest competition, with United having an excellent opportunity to get one over on their foes.
The Red Devils come into this one in drastically better form. The weren’t able to make that count in the league meeting, though cup progression would be a lovely way to get over that drab 0-0 draw.
Changes will be made, though I’m not sure we should expect wholesale differences from the team that slenderly beat Fulham on Wednesday night.
The squad is looking in pretty good shape which is another massive plus, giving our gaffer options aplenty for this one. Anyway, let’s get right into it…
Check out our Predicted Man Utd XI vs Liverpool in full:
Alex Telles will be involved in the team in the left-back slot, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka playing off the right-hand side. Victor Lindelof comes back into it after playing well against Liverpool last time out, while Harry Maguire completes the back four.
Scott McTominay will get the nod in that holding-midfield position, with Fred also starting. Bruno Fernandes plays when fit. Why would this be any different?
There were fan calls for Edinson Cavani last time out against Liverpool and his performance against Fulham certainly warrants a chance to play against our biggest rivals here. Marcus Rashford will start, with Mason Greenwood getting the nod on the right flank.
