“We can’t make a tailor-made deal just for Leo Messi. We can create different structures for similar cases, but we can’t tailor-make deals for individuals,” interim president Carles Tusquets has said when speaking about the incomiqng pay cuts at Barcelona.
“I won’t get into specifics about Messi because we have to finish negotiations first. What I can say is that Messi and his representatives are willing to cooperate.”

So far, all the players extended their contracts with Barca when agreeing to reduce their wages. However, it’s not clear whether the same will happen with Messi. The Argentine’s contract expires already in June 2021 and other teams will be free to negotiate with Leo starting with January.
