Raine Group, a bank overseeing the sale of Chelsea, is set to announce the names of three or four preferred bidders later this week.
According to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs, the current Chelsea board is heavily involved in deciding who should be the club’s next owner.
And one of the bidders Sir Martin Broughton told The Times that Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck, as well as directors Eugene Tenenbaum and Marina Granovskaia, will choose these preferred bidders.
It was previously reported that around 30 bids were submitted before the deadline. The sale is expected to be finalised before the end of the month.
