Manchester United players are ‘surprised’ by Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence from pre-season training, according to Fabrizio Romano, a tier-one source.
The Portuguese forward has failed to join up with the rest of the squad, citing a ‘family issue’ amid reports he’s looking to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The players are currently waiting to see what’s going to happy with Ronaldo with the 37-year-old giving no hints about his future at the club to his teammates.
However, Romano insists that the mood in the training camp remains positive with the Man United squad feeling positive about Erik ten Hag’s philosophy.
