- Bukayo also points out to his understanding with Kieran Tierney as he feels his first PL goal has come with a bit of luck.
Arsenal managed to get three points from a pivotal clash against Wolverhampton, with Bukayo Saka celebrating his new contract with a first-half goal.
“It’s been a week that I will remember for my whole life,” he told Sky Sports after the game, as relayed by Arseblog.
“It’s been a great week, not just for me, but for the Arsenal fans. We’re building, you can see the manager is building, we’re really delighted with the results we’re getting and that I could tie down my future here. It’s been a great week.”
The youngster hooked the ball past Rui Patricio after receiving a deflected cross from Kieran Tierney.
“I know KT, I know where he likes to cross it, when there’s space he crosses behind,” he added.
“I anticipated that the ball was going to come to the edge of the box so I made sure I was there. When I got the ball I knew it was the far post where the gap was going to be and I just guided it there.
“Luckily, it was a good finish and it went in.”
The goal against Wolves is Saka’s first in the Premier League. Earlier this week, the wonderkid committed his future to the Gunners, putting pen to paper on a four-year contract with the North London outfit.
First he signed da ting, then he scored da ting. It’s wonderful we have such a talent in the squad.
