Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has hailed United teammate Jesse Lingard for his display against Watford.
Lingard made his first Manchester United appearance in over 3 and a half months on Saturday, and the Scotland international was happy to see Englishman and other United fringe players impress.
Speaking to BT Sport after Manchester United’s 1-0 FA Cup win against Watford, Scott McTominay said: “It is a squad game, as you’ve seen here.
“There are players who haven’t played so on Tuesday [against Burnley in the Premier League] I’m sure there will be changes again.
“I feel like we’ve seen that with Jesse Lingard, with Donny van de Beek, with guys like that tonight. Daniel James in the first-half.
“Jesse was so, so good, he was causing real problems. It is a credit to him. He’s had a tough time Jesse and I am so pleased for him.”
