- It all boils down to the Brazilian’s estimated value.
- PSG want 200 million euros, while Barca are only willing to offer 160 million.
- The Parisians would also prefer to receive the money now and not in a year but that’s up for discussion.
- If PSG wouldn’t lower their price the talks are set to stall again.
As it was predicted by all major sources, Paris Saint-Germain have dismissed Barca’s loan offer for Neymarwith a purchase option of 160 million euros.
Interestingly though, according to Diario Sport, the Ligue 1 champions are ready to let go of the Brazilian star on loan on principle but the Parisians expect their financial demands to be met. Barcelona are yet to do that.
PSG rate the Frenchman at 200 million euros and would prefer the price to be paid upfront and not in a year. But they don’t close any doors and won’t rule out a loan.
As for Barca, they believe their 160 million euros assessment of Neymar’s value to be fair taking into consideration the Brazilian’s two years at Paris Saint-Germain that were ridden with injuries and setbacks. The Catalans also want to agree on the player’s transfer fee to be paid in several instalments and not all at once.
The two clubs continue talking but if the Parisians won’t lower Neymar’s 200 million price tag the transfer negotiations would stall again. Interestingly, Sport add that PSG would consider the inclusion of Barca players in the deal for the Brazilian. On that Barca once again pointed out that some of their players are definitely not up for sale.
