Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sport, Luis Suarez hints that he may sign a new deal with Barcelona soon.
“I’m very happy at the club. I’m always giving my best to the team. Statistics and numbers prove it.
“I think I’m up to the task. When it comes to a negotiation, we will come up to an agreement,” says the Uruguayan.
Earlier on, Suarez himself agreed that it’s time for Barca to think of his potential successor.
Besides, it was reported that David Beckham’s Inter Miami were highly interested in the 32-year-old striker. The Uruguayan himself positively reacted to the rumours, telling that he sees MLS as an attractive destination for him and his family. Suarez’s Uruguay teammate Nicolas Lodeiro revealed that Luis often asked him about the MLS.
Luis Suarez has scored 13 goals and provided 9 assists in 21 appearances for Barcelona so far this season. His solid assist record proves he may even register a higher number of passes to a goal than in his best season (18 in 2015/16).
